About Patti
Patti Welsh is an author and artist whose earliest memories include creating with paper and a paintbrush. Over the years, art became more than a creative outlet — it became a way to breathe, process, heal, and find beauty through life’s most challenging seasons.
In 2020, Patti wrote Kaleidoscope of Kitetails, a tender story about grief, memory, and the enduring power of love. Illustrated by her friend Melissa Dent, the book offers comfort to readers of all ages.
Her newest book, Kaleidoscope of Colours, came together through dreams, observation, and the beauty of the landscape around her. Written and illustrated by Patti, it invites children to slow down, wonder, and see the world through colour, curiosity, and imagination.
As a mother, Nana, and Grammy, Patti hopes her books encourage children to create freely, notice beauty, and feel loved.
